    Hello all,

I managed to collapse and crease the #2 exhaust pipe right at a bend, so my chance of success on repairing is slim to none. Does anyone on the forum know of other xj models (& other years) exhaust headers that will fit the XJ750RH?

I'm looking for a set of 4 into 1 headers.

I have a line on a set of headers from an XJ550, they're in good shape, but I do not want to purchase them without some feedback from you guys.

    Thanks for your help,
    Jay

    550 headers won't fit a 750.
try a Mr. Science on it. Fill the dented area with water (take a guess how much) then put it outside and let it freeze over night. Maybe it will get pushed back out. Might have to do it a few times.
Does it get cold enough to freeze water at night up there?

you can find individual head pipes on ebay but you have to make sure it is for the number 2 cylinder. each one has a number on it that corresponds to their respective cylinder. any 81-83 750 seca or maxim should fit.

    Thanks guys,

Oh it gets plenty cold to freeze water up here. I've tried the ice trick, with little progress, maybe a few more times would help.

Pollock, you could have asked "Does it get warm enough to thaw ice up there?" In June, Canadians start to get tired of winter, and it's back again by August! I guess we get a longer wrenching season!

Up here we get nine months of Hockey and three months of poor skating.

Just an update. I am now in the market for a new 4 into 1 header. The ice trick worked well enough to remove the dent, but it also split the pipe in an area where I cannot weld it. If anyone here has a spare header, i'm open to purchasing it.

Thanks again for all your help.
