82' 550 Maxim Idle problem

    As the subject says, I'm having trouble keeping my bike at idle. Is there any input that anybody has that could help me out?

    We're gonna need more input than that.

    What have you done so far? A history of what you have done and what you can't (don't understand) with the carburetors tells us a LOT.

    Valve clearances checked, float levels checked, bench sync check, running sync check? Air leaks in manifolds checked? There's a whole list of items for you to cross-off one by one. You get beyond this list and you'll be really close. Just ask questions with more in-depth assistance, and you'll get in-depth responses.
