UPDATE: The 750 Maxim is fair game for parting out... I am more interested in trading than selling...

The bike is all there except the side covers, airbox cover and the headlight assembly... it starts, runs, and drives... but has no title...

    WHAT I NEED: ( ALL FOR AN 81 Midnight Maxim 650 )

SOLO SEAT / Spring mounts - prefer something black but I can recover it is needed.

CLIP ON HANDLEBARS - that would fit an 81 midnight maxim.

AIR FILTER either 4 or 2 pods... or 2 canister kind... not sure what you call them... like the kind on most harleys... round chrome...

TIRES - Could use a decent front tire or a nice used set...

TAILLIGHT and BLINKERS - Prefer small and black...

If you haven't figured it out yet... I am working on a Rat Rod Bobber...

OH YEAH... A TITLED SMALL PROJECT BIKE - Want to start workin on one for my wife when the 650 is done... Would LOVE a early 70's RD the 2 little 2 stroke roadbikes!!

I prefer to barter as I am broke and really do not know what the stuff is worth... so if you have something to offer ( perhaps something supercool I am not even looking for ) send me a message I am open all offers...

If you REALLY wanna buy something you can make an offer as well... but would rather trade

I am just checking to see if there is enough interest to warrent me parting out this bike... It doesnt not have a title... and it appears here in wisconsin you have give up a leg to get a new one... lol... thats if you are not the person they have listed as the owner from 15 years ago... grrr

    ANYWAY!!

I have a 81 Midnight Maxim 650cc with a title that I want to get on the road... there are a few things I can take off the 750... but most of it could go...

SO... Is there anyone interested in parts from the 750?? What I do know that IS NOT THERE... Mirrors... Air Box Cover... Headlight assembly... Front Blinkers...

Rear blinkers are rough... well one is rough one is useable... seat isnt bad... tank is nice outside... has a couple chips... b ut is rusted inside... it runs and the motor sounds good...

If there isnt a lot of interest in it I may try the get it back on the road as well...

I would be open to a trade for a little smaller bike for my wife... would love to have an RD from the early 70's... I am also in need of some parts for my 650 midnight maxim...

So let me know what ya got and what ya need... I will decide over the next couple days if she is a project or parts...

    Peace

    David

COILS AND REAR PART OF THE SISSY BAR ARE SOLD!

What condition are the front rotors in? Thickness? Warped? Deep grooves? Heavy rust? Pics?

I pass this thread on to you as it has helped me before: SQLGuy's How To: Ignition Troubleshooting. I could use the coils if you're still parting it out. PM me with your thoughts and maybe how we can work out shipping and cost.

Do you still have the tank? If so, what kind of shape is it in and how much are you asking for it. I don't really have anything to trade so what kind of price are you talking. 24431 Thanks

Hi David, I would be interested in the middle, top, rearmost section of the grab-bar. Not sure what to call it, but it's just the aluminum bar across the back of the seat with two bolts on each end that attach it to the aluminum bars along the underside edge of the seat. I just need that rearmost portion. Shipped to 98225. Thanks. -Dan

    Hey All...

Sorry I have not been here much... my 3 month old son has had a pretty rough go of it as of late... He is out of the hospital now and doing well...

I am still parting out this bike however I just sent the back part of the sissy/grab bar and the coils to a couple of fellow forum members... so they are no longer available...

If you would like anything from this bike please speak up before I start ebay'ing the rest... I would rather sell to or trade with you all =)

    Peace

    David
