    Hi all,
I don't have a fuel gauge, and after running out of fuel I would like one ! lol.
Anyone have any ideas on aftermarket fuel gauges, ?

Your tank doesn't have a sender. That's your first problem.

Once you overcome that I have a thread on here with schematics to build an LED one which you can mount anywhere and calibrate to any sender and fuel level to light or turn out the bulbs.

The tank not having a sender, does that mean I'll have to switch out the tank ? could you link your thread ? Appreciate it

or you could just reset your trip odometer when you fill up. When you get with in ten miles to your tank being empty. Its time to start looking for a gas stop. It only took me one time of running out to figure that one out.

I would go with the trip reset suggestion. Its what my buddies and i all do. There is 6 of us with no gas gauges. I tend to get 75-90 per tank, but have shortened pipes. Plus you have the reserve. You run out on the main, switch it to reserve and get to the nearest station .I currently dont even have a cluster or a trip to reset. So That is the way i do it. :)

Thanks all, I am currently paying attention to my trip gauge, so just thought there maybe another method. Some reason last time I ran out of fuel, I didn't have the reserve option lol

Might have been on Prime. That has no reserve.

    Here's the link. http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=2 ... gauge.html

You'd either need a tank with a sender or add a sender to yours if you have the skill.
