I have an 82 maxim750 with the square headlights. I want to switch to a single 7" headlight. Tried searching through the forums and found lots of helpful things, but I could use some guidance since I'm totally new to bikes. I got new gauges, handlebars, risers, and want to get a headlight. Whats a good place to find a relatively inexpensive 7" round headlight? Mikesxs? I'm doubting I can use the brackets that mount to the stock headlight? Any help for a total noob would be helpful.

I got one from an older honda (ebay, won bid at .99c) and was able to use the original bracket used for the square model.

I was actually going to do this exact thing to my bike, (i ended up going with Buell headlights) but if you want to do the single 7" round you can get any fixture. Dont worry about the brackets. Depending on the bucket that is on the light it may bolt right on. If not JC Whitney has fork mount brackets for like $13. My problem was finding the light with a bucket though. haha good luck man! Post some pics if you get them done!
