The muffler on my bike sounds like a ticked off bumble bee, and its starting to annoy me after long rides.

What I want is a better, deeper sounding muffler. The one I have is a slip on.

You can see it here.BTW..old pic of bike.

Pretty bike. Can't help you with the exhaust other than to suggest returning to the stock unit. Nice sound that isn't buzzy on the ears.

Well see if you can remove the slip-on first.
If so, measure the header diameter size.
Once you know your size you can begin shopping for slip-ons.

Supertrapp, jardine, and other companies have diffrent styles and sizes.

Or you can make your own!

Or you can put the OEM on,....if you can find a good set.

It all depends on how much time andf money you want to invest.

It comes off pretty easy. Ive looked all around locally for the oem setup..no luck

Ive thought about making my own...seems like I remember seeing a video on here where someone made a set.

Im just a little worried about not getting the back pressure set up right with homemade baffles.

There is a link in our links section to a fellow down Kiwi way who fabbed his own exhaust system out of sections of stainless steel. Same fellow who has an extensive collection of pdf files on manuals and a neat section on the TCI box.

I have Jardine mufflers on mine and they have a nice tone.
But this is an inline-4 and once you get the revs up to 5-6 grand on the freeway, it's gonna buzz some.

    Excellent.

Ive been playing around with it all morning. Im waiting on a buddy from work to stop by with a custom baffle he says will work.

So far Ive got a pretty sweet looking setup. Just pulled the slip on off and cut me a two foot piece of exhaust steel and bent it out and gave it a nice side cut. For kicks I put it on and fired it up...LOUD!!!!.

But not what I want. LOL

If all else fails Im gonna put the slip on back and wait and see If I can just get the complete stock setup for it...I like the look of the dual exhaust, and from what I hear its a lot quieter.
