I recently replaced the throttle cable on my 82 seca and to do so had to hold the throttle lever up so I could thread the new one in ...so to speak. The bike ran well before this but when I tried to start it, fuel and oil began to leak from what looks like the air box. Haven't had time to take apart and diagnose accurately but I would appreciate any input on possible causes, likely sources and potential fixes. Thanks!

how long did the bike sit waiting for a new cable?
put bike up on center stand and check oil level.
sounds like you have fuel leaking into the motor could be a bad diaphram in your petcock allowing fuel into the vacuum line, or a stuck float/needle valve allowing fuel to flow freely into the carbs and into motor and/or air box
