    Hi
I've wanted a 650 Seca for a long time but haven't found one at the right time/price/place. When this was offered to me, I thought, yeah, its an xj you bet I'll take it thinking it could be brought back to life. The P.O. told me that it ran great before he took it apart, but he also told me it was complete--it isn't.

I believe it is an 83 750 maxim. I got it from a guy and I know that it is not really economically feasible to get back on the road with it. I've basically saved it from the dump or the scrap metal yard. The P.O. took this thing apart to paint and never got it back together. Then he didn't want to pay property tax on it, so filed for salvage certificate, which he wasn't able to find and give to me.

After picking up the pieces, I know I didn't get 100% of it. I would like to part it out to try to make a little scratch toward the other three bikes I have. If you see something in the pictures that you are interested in, I'm sure we can work something out. I'm in the Richmond, VA, area so if you can pick up, that would be great. I'm willing to ship if you'll give me a couple bucks to pay for supplies and gas in addition to your actual shipping cost (I'm just ttrying to do cost recovery on the shipping, you'll know what it costs before you buy).

There is dust on the parts from the P.O.'s painting project. It is the greenish tint on things. It wipes off. The reddish tint on the trees and the valve covers is red paint and would need to be stripped unless you like it. The green is supposed to be chameleon-type paint, changing color.

    parts that I've seen:
    front brake lever, hoses and calipers; rotors;
    turn signals
    headlight bucket
    handlebars
    wheels
    frame (no paper)
    forks: actually look verygood
gas tank (not NOS but really not bad)
    foot pegs
    air box
    carbs
    4into1 header and pipe
    seat, also looks good
    fenders
top clamp of the triple tree
gasket set (has been opened, don't know if it is missing anything)
wiring harness--this is a parts harness from a different bike and has not been cut
    toolkit holder
    ignition pieces
Haynes manual (will be last thing sold so I can take stuff apart if need be)
and whatever you can see in the pictures!

If you are interested in the whole thing, that would work too.

I'm willing to take more pictures or whatever to try to answer any questions. Just let me know.

    Thanks,
    Shep

its in this kind of shape :) it has surface rust, but seems solid. The bottom of the collector is somewhat dented, hope it shows here. I would do electrolysis on it and repaint it and maybe wrap it. Its servicable in my world.

Does it have dual front disks?? If so I would like to take the forks and calipers off your hands. I'm in the West End of Richmond.

I am in need of a master cylinder for an 82 Maxim myself. :(

I will be right near Richmond next week as well. Looks like it may be spoken for already though.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like you have engine guards with pegs. (I think I can see at least one.) If you do could you post a pic or 2 and let me know how much.

Hello, I am in need of a gas cap with the lock and key. If you have one and could shoot me a price shipped to 26601 I would appreciate it.
    Thanks.
