i need to know if another smooth gas tank would fit on the bike or would i have to take the emblems off the old talk and do the body work to fill the spaces under the emblems?

My emblems were just stick on. No bondo, no filler, just goo-gone.

My bike is an 83 seca.

I guess you know allready if yours are screwed on or stick on - so i suppose this is a pointless post.

Maxim's used screwed on tank emblems, Seca's are stick-on.

If you've got a Maxim and want it smooth, you've got to do the bodywork.
