Hey there. I pulled my bike out after a 2 day cold snap. It was - 12 and the day I pulled it out it was plus 12. I noticed a leak trail from my shed to the end of the driveway. I checked into it and could not find anything. The bike started. I took it for a 10 Klm run. I stopped at my buddies. Then I tried to start it and it took awhile to get it going. I got home and put it back in the shed. I took it out a couple days ago and when trying to start it the bike kept backfiring. I did get it started but it was blowing a cloud of smoke and shortly it stopped. I went out yesterday and it's not starting at all other than it sounds like it wants to start. Petcock issue?

Petcock, or float, or split fuel line, or leaky tank issue. Have you had a look at the oil level recenty?

Fuel line is good, tank is good. Haven't checked oil because I changed it before storing. I took the tank off yesterday. Put it on reserve and no fuel poured out. It's not the original petcock. It has just the fuel line. The other line is just sitting there with a metal bearing I guess. I just bought it in November buddy said it had to be on prime to run. I drove it about 200 Klms b4 storing with full tank of fuel and stabilizer fluid. Wondering if the cold temperatures did something to the petcock.

No the person I bought it off didn't put the correct petcock in. It's on off in the run position and run in prime.

This vacuum hose should be plugged or the carb port should be capped.

The vacuum is plugged. Might be the battery. It was on a tender but it got turned off for about a week. The only way I can get it turned over is with the tender on. But I. Thinking now that the battery lost it power maybe the tender isn't enough power. That would be an easy fix but probably not. Thanks for everyone 's help.

If it has a prime position then it is a vacuum operated petcok. Does it have a vacuum port on it?
I'm thinking it might be a vacuum petcock that was converted to manual operation. In any case I'd have a very close look at it for leaks.
