85 xj 700 maxim gas tank

    i want to get a bigger fuel tank for my bike. any other model tanks bolt right on? know of a good fabricator?

    Without modifications to the tank or frame...........no. I got the same problem & I was thinking bout cutting the bottom off of my tank, then see what bigger might fit. There was a "frankin tank" on eBay about a year ago that gave me the idea. The thing had a horseshoe indentation aroundnd the high ridge to allow for the bars to turn. if you do a search I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about.
