    since you all gave me some valuable insight on the 99 ninja za11 i was thinking of buying. saved me the hassle of buying a bike with poor lubrication qualities.

    any insight on the y amaha fzr1000 motor. specs look like it's more power then the ninja 1100. but the gas tank is 5 instead of 6 gallons.

    i don't see any mention of problems on that motor on google.

    Good strong motors on the FZR. They do wear out the emulsion tubes in the carbs quite easily / quickly which can make them bog down around the 3 - 4 grand RPM range. Other than that, they're a nice fast bike.

    It's a Yamaha.

    Apples and Oranges to a Kawi. Bulletproof if properly maintained; be sure to check exactly what that involves (as in valve adjustment.)

    You should know what else to look for by now.
