Yesterday I spent the day traveling up to New York to meet my fellow member Dave Fox (hogfiddles) to pick up a few bikes to expand my stables. Now in addition to The Mistress (my '81 XJ650LH Midnight) and Claire (my mom's birthday present XJ550), I have the following projects / bikes:

    1980 XS400 Special
XV700 project - Titled frame and untitled motor to put together and sell
XV100 project 'Viragenstein' - XV700 frame, 750/700? front end, 1100 engine to be built into a touring beast

Also picked up a ton of parts for the XJ550's, 650's, and Virago's, and some spare XV400 parts.

Excited to get started and get a few more running and back out to prospective new XJ'ers!

As always, here are some pictures of the collection now!

    Jealous!!!
About the bikes and probably more so about the green grass and trees leaving out.

We had horizontal snow yesterday and a balmy 28 degrees this morning, brown grass and bare trees (grey lines).

Good to see you again, John! I hope the trip home was uneventful. Good grief, that truck had probably three times the weight capacity on it by the time we were done loading it! I don't think there was room left for more than a couple pieces of paper.....heehee

With all the boxes of stuff, you'll be able to put together another bike or two just from the parts! Building one from scratch is about the best way to learn where EVERYTHING goes. It's a long process, but you sure learn a lot....and you know I'm all about learning------

    To everyone else------

Don't worry, I'm not out of parts......yet......LOL I have a couple new projects coming in and I expect I will have plenty of parts available. In the meantime, if you need parts contact John (BluesBass) or me. Between us there's a TON of parts.

I guess I'd better go modify my signature list now........lol

I do have a ton of spare parts and a bunch of parts I need to build the projects I now have. I am officially open for trades/sales of parts that I don't need for those I do.

I had a chance to start to work on these bikes and should have the 400 running in the next few days (after some fresh oil, a carb cleaning, filters, and other minor parts and upgrades here and there).

Unfortunately the bikes may have to be put off in favor of fixing my lovely lady's car which has (not so suddenly) started to leak coolant rather profusely. Luckily I am soaking carbs the next few days, so that shouldn't put me too far behind schedule on the bikes.
