Looking for something that is smooth or doesn't say "Yamaha" on it. I know I could take the stocker off my XJ 650 to a machine shop to have it milled off but thought I would try going the a/m route first.

    Thanks all

yo could just give it a go with a sanding disk on a grinder, though if there is an after market one available i am also interested, and does any one know where to get a replacement gasket for it?????

Last time I was searching, there were NO aftermarket brake res covers available for our bikes. There used to be a grand total of one (1) -- one of those ones with the eagle on them, and you could get it in chrome or black. But that was the only one I ever saw, and last I knew it's not available anymore.

So if you can find one that fits, let us all know!

Well crud, looks like a go around with the belt sander may be in order. Not that I'm ashamed to ride a Yamaha as my VMax was my favorite bike, but I want people to say "What kind of bike is that?" Haha.

Would the covers from Mikes XS site maybe fit?

So did you find blanks for the covers on the engine?
