1. Some members were not receiving emails sent from XJbikes.com. For example: "Forgot your password?" function to reset your password would not send email to some members. I believe this has been resolved now. Please use "Contact Us" form (see page footer link) if you still have email issues. SnoSheriff

Hey All-just here to say I really like the site & I am so grateful to the members here who have helped me out from time to time.
But I have something to say that I cant hold back any longer.
In the buy, sell, trade, our members post what they need or want to sell. More often than not---a tentative deal is made with PMs--and then the OP disappears & wont respond to any further PMs. Whats up with that anyway?
IMO that's thoughtless, inconsiderate & just plain rude. & really pisses off the other party for wasting their time. I realize sometimes life happens, but at least have to common courtesy to notify the other person.
If you gotta play games, please do it on Craigslist & Ebay. Most of us here regard our XJ's too seriously to mess around with flakes, so please dont post stuff you aren't serious about following through with.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter, ride safe out there.

Well can't say it happens all the time or with certain members who have shown themselves to be very reliable. But this did happen to me; a member wanted to swap tanks with me because his was pristine and he wanted a less than pristine tank to paint and modify to make a bobber. We communicated several times and agreement was reached that we would exchange tanks and I would include some cash to compensate for his tank being better. Then a month later he said he had been busy and was in no hurry since he was working on other stuff on the bike....then crickets.

Oh well I would say if they aren't responsible enough to reply and respond then you probably don't want to deal with them anyway.

Ya I know what you mean. I actually purchased an item from a local member of the forum and then nothing. I paid him and nothing. I got on the forum and made some noise about it. Got hell from a moderator for it. But the way I see it when you pay for something you have to do what you can to get results. It worked and I got my part, two months later. It should have taken only a week since regular mail gets here from the same town in two days. But you have to do what you have to do. Was not able to hunt him down due to being laid up and unable to travel.
