? about the carb pac

    I've got the carbs to my 80 XJ650 torn apart sitting in trays marked 1.2.3.4 and such, but did'nt mark the carb bodies though. I know the position of the two outer carbs, but the two inner carb boddies got mixed up, even though they look the same to me, is it gonna make any difference wich one goes whare?

    i tell u what if u give me ur email i have pics of my carbs when the were torn down but not pulled aprt if that helps the pics r very high quality u can zoom in to c the order

    The two inner carb BODIES are the same and can be used interchangably with each other.

    HOWEVER, once the throttle shafts and their bracketry are installed, the #2 and #3 CARBS are different, as the throttle shafts, etc. are different.

    Yeah i've got all the guts removed from each carb body sitting in a tray marked for what carb body they go to, but the pics i had of the carb pac when it was together are gone because my computer crashed and i lost them, so im just curious if the cuts will interchange between the two inner cab bodies, i guess im good to go. Thanx

    as long as you have the throttle shafts and butterflies out.

    If not, then they're not interchangeable.
