I am considering buying a Vulcan 500. It is a 2005 and has been wrecked and pretty completely repaired. Owner says it needs headlight, front turn signals and battery. Also thinks he may have a vacuum hose hooked wrong because it runs about 5 minutes and dies. My main concern is mileage, it has just over 38,000 miles. My first question, is that too many miles? What do you feel the dying issue is? What should I look at on the bike? What would value of this bike be? Thanks in advance. I have not seen bike in person, just online but pics look pretty good

Probably want to check the same things as any other bike.

I'd pay close attention to the frame since you know it's been wrecked. Also make sure you can title and insure it where you live. If it was a salvage sometmes there are funny rules about that.
