air cleaner

    Like always I come up with the strange ones I was driving to work today and have noticed I lost one of my can style air filters does anyone know if It is a big problem or where to track one down or something to get home. It is a 45 mile trip thanks

    Thats a tough one. I'd definately try to find one quickly. If you have to ride home w/o, stay away from any dust/dirt you can.

    BAD NEWS.
    I would NOT ride without a filter, unless there is NO other option.

    There might be some Rigging you could do.
    I might get some pantyhose, but then again I have no clue if it would work best.
    Someone needs to chime in their thoughts on a temp fix.

    Is my biggest concern dirt or that cylinder running to lean I don’t want to burn anything up.

    I would say dirt. Its already flowing pretty good with pod filters, w/o the pod, it may not make that much difference.

    Just dirt!

    Thanks for your help I have got it riged for now and I will stay away from the dirt . thanks again now I am undesided, go back to air box or replace one air cleaner well I am going home now that discussion will have to be for another day thanks

    I say go back to the airbox.. I have gone rounds with my XR650 and pod filters... Then back to the orig. air box and my FCR carb... Cant beat it.
