Alternator output?

    Alright, first off, I have searched for an answer...for two days.

    I have a 1982 Maxim JX750J. I am trying to find what the max AMPERAGE of the alternator is. I know its good for about 14 VDC. I'm wanting to add some electrical accessories, but I don't want to overload anything. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

    But, keep in mind that that's at 5000 RPM. At idle, you'll be getting very little out of it at all.

    There used to be (haven't been able to find them recently online), some aftermarket stator upgrades that were supposed to get some extra power out of these alternators... about $150 IIRC.

    19 amps sould be fine. I'm looking at about 7 amp max draw.
