Does it matter the order of the white wires going from the alternator to the voltage regulator? I started make a new wiring harness and made the mistake of not labeling the wires correctly when I cut them. If it does matter, is there a way to determine which ones go to the correct connection on the regulator?

From what I have seen it doesn't matter, but wanted to get others input on this.

    This is for a 1982 XJ550
