Am I the only one who has this much trouble with clutch bolts?

Yesterday I reassembled the clutch while putting my engine back together after replacing the starter clutch. I had bought a used clutch hub to replace my existing one where I had had to Helicoil one of the posts.

The "new" hub needed a bit of cleanup, but the post threads looked good. When going to torque the bolts to the required 7.2 lb ft. One didn't seem to want to take the torque, and another snapped. I pulled that hub and put my original one back in. Ended up snapping another bolt there. It was easy enough to remove the broken piece from the post and then put in another bolt (this time I used one from Ace hardware instead of OE, and it was fine.)

Are these bolts not reusable, or really weak, or am I doing something wrong here?

They should be renewed. I don't think you are doing anything wrong old bolts can break. I rebuilt my engine but the bike is not on the road yet and l am waiting to get an accurate torque wrench before l fit the new clutch bolts.
