You're right... you don't see one every day-----

But there are some guys on here that DO see one every, since they have one----

And I see two xs750 triples every day.....when I walk past them under their covers. LOL

Actually a really nice one popped on eBay around the time I was searching for my XJ, and the day I went to buy the 550 I had left that eBay page up and my toddler niece went and bid on it for $850. I won the auction! If I hadn't already bought the 550 I would have taken the 750 triple-it was very nice with a ghost paint job. They are pretty bikes with an interesting torque curve.

Foolber, saw the V-Max in your footer--

Keep looking and waiting, one will turn up. Found mine a year and a half ago after looking for several years. Turned up 3 mi away.

The Yammie triples were two-wheeled trucks. Nice quality bikes, smooth, comfy, gobs of torque. NOT fast, too heavy but handled "ok" and would run forever.

They didn't sell all that well; the XS650 was the star of the show back then, sales wise.

Then the Maxim I came along...

Thanks dude! I had a customer bring one to me to fix his "v-boost". Turned out to be his controller (brain) as we call em round here. I charged him for the parts and a Carb sync. No labor.

I would wake up at 4am from seizures so I would just go tinker with it and clean it cause I wanted to know all about it. Fell in love with that bike, but he wouldn't sell it. And I don't blame him. So I filled her with gas for him and he's been back 2 more times since july last year :)

I have an 80 850 Midnight special. It's not real fast compared to an XJ but it has a sweet sound, a great powerband, and a it is a good highway bike. Also you will be the only one with one. I recently bought a Craig Vetter faring for it. Can't wait to get it installed.
