    Does anyone know what 29R means on the engine block. I have a xj900F 1983 the frame number is 31A.

    31A is the correct model designation for a European '83 900 but I can't find any reference to a 29R anywhere. Where is it exactly on the engine?

    its stamped on a small serrated looking panel on the left hand side looking from the front. I have two engines and they both have this number on them
