    Like the subject says.

The petroleum bases 20w50 has "synthetic wearguard" (Not 100% about the second word) that is said to be a coating that prevents excessive wear from startup.

Will this additive mess up our clutches?

I did a little research on this and found it that it is made for Canadian Tire by Shell oil. I need the Canadian Tire product # for more info. Then I can get the MSDS.

Well that didn't work either. May be another code it needs. Here is the site I have been searching. http://www.shell-lubricants.com/msds/search.php
Look over the label and try some other numbers to see if they work. According to Bobtheoilguy Shell makes the oils for Canadian Tire and labels them Motomaster.

There is a canadian tire site that will give you the MSDS with this part number. I dont have it here at work but I will try to post it.
The information on the MSDS did not mean a lot to me maybe it will to you and you could enlighten me.

The part number shows as 5w30 on the msds but it aLSO COMES IN A 20W50.

The MSDS didn't help at all. I did some more searching and foud out something interesting. Apparently the Jaso T 903 MA rating is what we with wet clutchs want. The Jaso T 903 MB rating is not for a wet clutch. Here is a site that explains it. This rating even includes shear testing. One of the big points made by the "only use motorcycle oil" crowd.
