I just got a king peanut tank today from a friend. I haven't had a chance to check out the fit yet. It looks like it might fit right on with little or no fab. Just looks like it will need to bolt on different. Maybe a chop to the frame by the coils? Does anyone have experience with this??? Any pics and comments would be great. Thanks

This is my bike as of right now.

Wouldn't it be easier to mod the tank?

Mind if I bump this topic? I am runnin the site search right now, so hopefully will find something, but ya, how did that tank swap go?

I heard the petcock is on the wrong side for an XJ/XS?
Did the tunnel length work out? And for the Tank - > Carb hose, did you just need to lenghten the hose?

    Any pics, or other info?

    thanks man

**Edit - i may have very well solved my question, by looking at your other thread. Just the mounting and the hose had to change eh?

    Thanks agian!

it will definetly take some modification to do, almost known of the measurements will work. I decided to try and use hte stock tank, cuz it was a ton of work to make a peanut work.

two choices, single tube back bone, or cuz out the inside of the tank to make it wider, but with a lil peanut tank you will have around a half gallon of gas.. decisions decisions
