    Why bother with a helmet?
That's the sickest air I've ever seen.

Very very cool, and insane. I know you can get desensitized to speed or heights after dealing with them for a while, but that is unbelievable.

Currently they use Chutes to land. But I saw an article where one of the guys that does this is trying to develop a suit that they could land with. They're hoping to have it developed by mid 09 from what I read...

If you put a button to press, out on the edge of that precipice, and said:
"Rick, go over there and push that button and we'll give you a brand-new Gold Wing."
I wouldn't win it. I wouldn't be able to move. I probably wouldn't be able to breathe. I was having genuine attacks of vertigo just looking at the video on wide screen. Drop-offs plenty smaller than that scare me to death.

It's funny. I'm OK if I'm in an aircraft or out on the roof of a skyscraper.
But, being up that high ... with a drop-off that far down ... scares the livin' daylights out of me.

Don't bring me up that high unless I'm roped-in, tied my own knots and on-belay to a pad-eye on the frame of a A1-M1 Tank.

You got to have a set of Kah-jones made out of Titanium-coated spent Nuclear fuel to put-on a Super-Hero Halloween Costume, get a running start and jump-off the top of a cliff.

I'm sure the Suits are computer designed and made with only the finest and most expensive materials available. Truthfully, it looks like fun. It really does.

    But, there's that moment.
Best described in many ways by the late, great Ernest Hemingway as one having: "Grace under pressure".
Boils down to jumping-off the edge of a cliff.
You need the nerve it takes; and demonstrate having that nerve with your leap.

Everybody who hasn't jumped; doesn't have it!
Until they stand on the edge ...
    And, ...
    JUMP!

Wow. Those guys have cajones that I do not and not sure that possession of them would would mean sanity was a part of the psyche, whatever of it left. In spite of those issues, now those flying dreams I have sometimes at night have now attained a deep root.

Daddy daddy! I'm scared! Oh, right, I'm 52 and an adult and...still scared!

And I agree with TIME - what good will a helmet do at those speeds with those obstacles? Sheesh!

In a heart beat. With a rush like that who needs a wife. WOW
It would have to be as existing as a 14 year old boy finding his first Playboy. Cool things I never thought of but now have a goal to do.

If this was available 20 years ago I'd have been all in. I was a huge adrenaline junky in those days. you know: bigger, faster, higher, deeper , steeper, scetchier, scarier, stupid, quicker, sicker, etc.
I'd even consider it now but not sure if I'd really jump.
