any threads on how to lower the rider seat k. a xj 700 1985?

    Im looking to lower the rider seat or make a new one so I dont ruin the original...thanks

    Get a spare seat pan. Use less foam, or cut the existing foam down if you use a full seat. Restaple the cover, or have a new cover made. Easy peasy.

    Exactly what I did with the seat of my Maxim-X : buy a spare seat and expiremented with it.

    Sorry guys no spare seats in the market here and certanly not cheap to experimentation. Need to be done hand made and Im more inyo how to attach the seat to the frame withtout drilling it...

    you could weld hinges or brackets to the frame
    the hinge pins on a seca 550 are removable and welded to the side of the frame with a latch on the opposite side

    you could use the plunger and gromet in 3 locations like the one on the front of the seat your seat.JPG
