I was wondering if anybody has used the vinyl paint? It seat on my bike looks good but it has a lot of regular paint over spray on it, and I can't get it off. It sounds like a good idea but will it run off over time? If anyone has used it I appreciate the info Thanks

I've used the stuff on interior door panels and consoles. It's more of a dye than a paint, so should wear pretty well. It won't color the overspray though. The body paint will act like a mask and the end-result will look spotty. New seatcovers are all over Ebay for betwen $30 and $60, depending on material choice. Chacal carries the OEM style replacement covers.

As long as you ride in painters pants, you'll be okay.

Just bought some nice black vinyl from the local fabric store for $14 and some change. Girlfriend is going to redo the seat. She's way more crafty at that stuff.

Not sure about UV resistant but it's got some thickness to it.

I've used the Duplicolor Vinyl spray several times on bike seats, back rests and have had really good luck with it. It lays down really nice and you can even touch it up if you miss a spot and it will blend in and be unnoticeable, unlike other sprays.
