    As per the subject,

I'm looking at a 81 750 as a "winter project"... I know the carbs are both hitachis, but would they be the same model as what's on my 650? HSC-32s or HSC-33s? If so I know mine should be clean enough, would be great to have a second set or even another bank to clean up and keep/sell.

    Thanks!

    Marcel

According to the Haynes manual, BOTH engines use the same carb set, HSC-32.

Different jets, AND DIFFERENT emulsion tube needles...check the catalogs, they have different P/N's.

Not that changing jets and needles will contraindicate a second set of otherwise identical carburetors.

Main jet: 110, Pilot jet: 40, Main air jet: 50, Pilot air jet: 195, Needle: Y-10

    750 HSC32 carbs -
Main jet: 120, Pilot jet: 40, Main air jet: 80, Pilot air jet: 225, Needle: Y-13

Needle jet is the same for both. 3.2mm

I adapted 650 Maxim carbs for my 750 Seca by doing the above swaps.

Kept me from having to do throttle shaft seal surgery.

That's my plan (if I get the bike that is). I can see that the ones on the SECA were leaky, although I've split a rack before it would save me some time for sure.

It's not hard. More time consuming than anything else. Good bonding experience with your ride. :)
