Maybe it's just the angle in the pic, but it look's like the seat doesn't have much travel space before bottoming out on the ammo can underneath it.

Ya just the angle.....however the seat doesn't move a heck of a lot anyhow, pretty stiff springs in that LaRosa seat.

Ok. How's it running with the pods? Any problems? Like the mufflers. The only thing I'm not diggin' is the Seca front fender. They just don't look as good as the Maxim fender in my opinion.

Runs like a champ, plain and simple......maybe I got lucky but I would like to think its from the time I have put into it.

It wasn't a runner when I picked it up.

I am not a fan of any of the the fenders for these bikes but for me it suited the bike and kinda matches the rims.

That's funny, I was thinking the exact opposite! Might look for a Seca fender if I decide to put mine back on

Sick bike man, I dig it!

Correct! No tach and presently no mirror.... I ordered billet aluminum bar ends as a pack of two but probably only going to use one on the left side.

Just got in from a ride with two of my buddies that own harley's (puke) and they both really like the bike and the sound...lots of compliments on the sound of my Mac exhaust. The XJ holds it's own against the 1200's. accelerates and rides with em no problem..if not a little better!

I love this bike, turned out better than I expected.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Haha, doesn't take much to keep up with a 1200 Harley.

    Very clean build, nicely done.

No tach on mine either. My old one was trashed and didn't see the point in getting another since I was just cruising around anyway.
Tach? We don't need no stinking Tach.
Didn't see the "32" stop tail light before, looks good.

No fuel gauge, or oil light. She's bare bones. Picked up the stop light from TC Bros.

Got a ticket for my plate mounted on the side. Had first appearance today and trial on Nov. 14 Law only states it must be securly attached to the mud gaurd, clearly visible and legible.....it's attached to the fender bracket. The officer told me it must be mounted on center with the bike....BS

Not to mention his main issue was legibility....funny he was able to read it from his car when he wrote the ticket. Our law also states that it's the officers discretion. Also funny that some modern bikes come stock with side mounts. We shall see

Some states have passed regulations on side plates. Mississippi is ok with the side mount as long as the plate is mounted horizontal. But of coarse that sticks out too far and doesn't look right in my opinion.

What is that headlight, and is it just mounted on the lower triple tree?

Headlight is off a Vulcan....not sure what year though.

As for the bracket I fabbed this up. I added a gusset in the back of the tubing as you can see in the first picture.
