AUS (ACT) - XJ750 - Not running $300 - SOLD

G'day all,

I have a 1984 XJ750 I picked up barely running that I was going to get back on the road. Just started a new job and don't have the time any more.

History (as far as I know).
A work collage rode it to work one day and left it there for 6 months (turns out it wouldn't start due to a flat battery); he'd had the bike for 8 months. Got it home, but it ran very poorly (fresh fuel in the tank, didn't flush the bowls, and a spare battery). He had dreams of turning it into a cafe style racer and made some (less than professional) aesthetic modifications. As a result, it is missing its front faring, headlight and indicators. Some of the associated wiring has also been chopped.

I was going to rebuild it, but barley got started. Carbs are beautiful. valves needs to be reshimmed. Fuel tank has a weepy leak (probably some internal rust). I also have a spare set of carbs for it (but they would be parts only). Seat isn't in a good state. Either had a bad battery, or wasn't charging the battery; I never sorted this out. Gearbox is good.

Must be willing to pick it up (Canberra)

Here is a pic of the bike when the last owner picked it up. Please see the first post regarding its current state. Not sure on the differences between the Seca and the bike in the link you posted. If you're able to give me some specific things to look for I'll check. The plate and the engine and frame are both stamped 45T.

Yep, already in touch with him. Thank you for letting him know. I tracked down that it was an XJ750RL, but not sure how the Seca name fits in.

the name fits in like this: 1984 XJ750RL Seca. DO NOT SCRAP/WRECKER IT!!!!!! they are few and far between....(except for guys like ol_750), same for the 900rk USA-delivered models (see below )
