You could always change the whole indicator relay system, it wouldn't be too difficult to wire in an alternative and change the handlebar buttons.. They're ugly anyway.

Sorry, I meant 490 AND 10 seconds. Both have to occur. So you can sit still and it will never cancel, or you can go 100 mph and it will blink for 10 seconds.

And it for sure isn't the reed switch, that's the first thing I eliminated, it's the switch at the handlebar that is causing trouble, I'm 99% sure.

OK, well then you can test this fairly easily.. The handlebar switch should have nothing to do with the autocancel after x seconds and y feet, it should switch off the indicators straight away (mine does) which means that one pulse should be enough to cancel it (as opposed to 51 pulses on the reed switch)

On my circuit diagram (I can't see on yours because you missed out the key that says what's what) the yellow/red wire goes to the cancelling unit from the handlebar switch which provides a circuit to earth when pressed, and the brown/white wire goes to the indicator relay, and is completed when you switch the light, providing power to the left or right indicator as appropriate.

To test this, switch the indicator on, and short circuit the yellow/red wire to a black wire and release it.. If the indicators switch off, and they don't when you press the handlebar switch, you've found your culprit.. If they don't, then back to the cancelling unit.. However, also check that the brown/white wire disconnects when you release the cancel button.. this provides power to the appropriate indicators.. By the looks of things, this is a mechanical switch that should switch off when you cancel, but I'm not sure how, because the autocancel would then not work.. maybe it's a relay.. Without taking my dashboard and switch apart, I can't tell, and I don't want to do that..

Got mine working yesterday. Cleaned and wirebrushed(brass brush) all the contacts in the handlebar switch assembly. Now it cancels within 150meters every time.
