Sure. Post the pic here or in your gallery and let me know which one. Tonight I'll resize it and send it to you.

Here's another edit of your pic - my photo editor says it's within the specs for avitar but I didn't test it, let me know if it's too large to work and I will make it samller!

You can resize the picture in Paint but it is a pain... if you had access to photoshop it would be easier... also some of the freeware programs are really good too - gimp for example.

    What tools do you have?

    Hi woot,
All I have to work with is "Paint" ya its not a very good software.
I will look into some new software.
I haven't done much on computers with photo's.

Well - paint isn't bad per se - it's just that it really isn't very good at resizing pictures... it's good for doodling and making simple images.

One other thing - if you have windows XP you can get an image resizer from microsoft ( Power Toys ) that is actually pretty good I hear...

One day I plan to write up step-by-step instructions how to resize the pics using Gimp, MS Paint and Photoshop...

Worst case scenario, you can select a picture from our available avatar gallery...

No - it is a seperate tool...

    Select the image

The right click it - pick "Resize image"

Click the advanced option ( to pick a non-standard size)

Type in the image size constraints... 90 wide, 90 tall.

It'll make a new file called "OLD NAME (CUSTOM).JPG"

    ---

some notes to improve it's performance. Notice how the output image is trying to be square. It'll make the image no wider than 90 and no taller than 90. If the image used to be 2:1 ratio ( ie 600 wide, 300 tall) then the output image will be 90 by 45 pixels... lots of wasted height. If the source image is close to square you'll get better results.

To make the source image more square (if it was a problem) make a copy of the image. In paint select a square part of the picture you want to keep with one of the marquee type tools. Select copy from the menu. On the lower right corner pull the image size smaller - really small. The go to paste - it'll paste the square image into the picture... it'll resize the image from the small area you made a second ago and it'll take the shape of the area you selected... meaning it is a square image. Save this file with a different name than the original. Then exit paint - and resize it - should fix the non-square problem you might have been having.

    Cheers,
    woot.
