backfire?

    For some reason ocasionally when I have just started my bike it will backfire just under 3,000 rpms sometimes this will cause it to sputter out, other times it keeps running, any idea why this is?
    How do I fix it?

    Backfiring is a lean condition... generally. It only does it when the engine is cold? Will it always do it? How much choke are you using?
