I was not getting full power up hills, and thought I had one carb not working right, so took all of them off, and re-adjusted them as I did last fall also, using the methods with a jig and a clear tube to get the tang at right spot where it comes to just above the float screws. I put it back on the bike--when I went to start it, gas flew out of the bottom of one carb bowl apparently and down and out several spots, so I shut it down, took the carbs out again, and they are on my bench again. They all check out to the proper level using the clear tube method, yet carb #2 leaked out somewhere, even though I screwed it in at the bottom after finishing with the clear tube process. So I took the bowl off again, and am just staring at it and baffled as to what to do next? The float is not stuck--it is cleaned out thoroughly, and moves up and down with my finger just fine.
Is it possible for it to pass the tube test and yet not be adjusted enough to close off the needle? The tang is about the same distance bent as the other tangs, and the tube level with gas in it checks out okay--what can be causing it to not close, or just where could it be leaking out?

First thought: Did you replace the gasket between the bowl and the carb body? You said the "bottom", but do you mean out of the intake port or out of the bowl? Apparently, some kits don't have all the holes punched out of the gasket. If all the gaskets are there, make sure they all look the same regarding the number of holes in them.

Second thought: What substance are you using when you test the float level using the clear tube method? Gasoline has a different "weight" (Specific Gravity) than other liquids, and will result in a different float level than if you tested it with water, coca-cola, tequila, etc.

Third thought: If you confirm exactly where the fuel is coming from, that might help you decide where the problem lies.

Not sure but is it possible you could have some dried gas in some of the carb passages? Are you certain your carbs are clean?

The gas we have now is just at best crap. My float bowls dry out and it leaves a film on everthing in there. Just a thought

Could be the tube that supplies fuel between the carbs.
As soon as the engine starts turning the vac pressure over-
    welms the seal.
