I was out driving(too fast) last weekend and after riding a few km at high rev's(6k to redline) the bat.warning comes on. Then i took it down to 4-5k and after yet 1 or 2 km i disappears again.
I did the Battery warning light bypass a couple of years ago with a 4.7kohm resistor.
The batt. is app. 1 year old.
Why does this happen? Is there something wrong (apart from my driving)?

doubtful, mine does that ocassionally too, perhaps the coils are drawing enough power at high revs that the voltage coming through the resistor drops below the threshold enough to trigger the light
