Picked up a 100% stock '82 XJ650 a few weeks ago as a new chop project. Had the original tool kit and chain wheel lock! The pics are next to my '81 Honda CB650 that I bought full stock like the XJ and chopped up.
Cleaned the XJ carbs/synced 'em and the bike is 100% for $450 haha. Looking forward to turning the XJ into a little lane splitter like my CB.
Plans include: Hard tail, wire front wheel, maybe fork swap, no muffler shot gun exhaust up the right side, air box delete, single backbone for chopper tank and custom bars.

    Welcome,

Purists (like me) would call that a sin, but to each his own; I never bought the bike! :)

Good luck with the build and if you're selling stuff the buy/sell forum would be glad to have your business I'm sure. That lock set itself would be worth a few bucks...
