Ok there was a line coming out of one of the nipples coming out of the carbs and the other 3 r capped. What is that for? Also on the back side of the carbs there was a tube hanging there. Is the one in the back the gas line? Was the nipple one a breather tube? what do i do with these. Also on the pet valve there is the gas line then another pipe coming out what do I do with the non gas out of tank one? Sorry I can do any of the work just dont know the technical stuff. Anyone know where an online manual is for this bike?

The nipple on the petcock that is smaller and further "inward" is for the vacuum line that runs to that #3 carb intake manifold nipple.........that vac line is what makes the petcock and "automatic on/off" design.

The nipples on the intake manifolds are used when the engine is synched, they are the vac ports for the synch gauges (which are just vacuum gauges).

The line that comes off of one of the intakes is the vacuum line...it connects to the smaller inlet on the petcock and operates the fuel valve when the petcock is in the ON or RES position. PRI bypasses the vacuum operated petcock. The intake "nipples" are also be used to measure the vacuum each cylinder pulls for balancing purposes.

There is a breather hose off of the rear left side of the crankcase that connects to the front of the airbox. There is also an airbox drain hose on the bottom of the airbox that just leads under the bike. There is a fuel rail in the back of the carbs...this is where your fuel line from your petcock goes.

I'm not sure about online manuals. Pay the money for a Clymer, shop manual, or order the XJCD (xjcd.org).

Put your bike in your signature, and include location.
