In the process of doing a hardtail bobber, wondering if I can get a 120 front tire to work? Or is 110 the max?

If your omitting the front fender and fork brace, I think it will fit. These front ends tend to need the brace though. The brace is part of the fender on yours isn't it?. So you could use an aftermarket "U" shaped bracket as a brace and mod a mount for the fender or go without a fender.
My son in law put a 110 on the front of his 700 Max, but had to shim the fender 1/8 inch up(couldn't go higher) so the tire wouldn't rub.
