bike runing problem

    hi my bike wants to die om me if i dont give it gas a litle with the choke off worm or cold i synk the carbs i tryed to ajust the idele on the botom of the carbs what could it be.

    Could be a vacuum leak, bad plugs or poor fuel mixture.

    Thanks I have the same issue. Just bought an undermaintained '81 550r and it does the same thing. I've been running seafom in the gas to some avail.

    I'm going to look for a leak with the propane trick in the next evening or two.

    It already has new plugs and I hope the seafoam is working by cleaning the carbs and not just softening some rubber making it swell and stop leaking somewhat.

    hi what is the old propane trick,and i cleand up my carbs and i got new plugs my mixture might be off im geting a colortune sune,thank you ivan

    I assume it's the same as when you spray starter fluid on your boots and see if the engine revs, if it does you have a leak.
