It ran fine last night, and I was in a gigantic rush this morning. I attempted to start it the same way as always; and got nothing but a headlight dim. I tried again, same thing. I checked the the kill switch, and the kickstand. The kickstand was all the way up (bike was on centre stand) and kill switch was disengaged. I tried again; it did the exact same thing. Without anytime to check anything else I took the car in.

I'd been racking my brains all day about it. I just got home, to play around with it. I tried starting it the exact same way... and presto.... she lives.

Any ideas? is this indicative of anything potentially serious?

was it in neutral when you tried? could have been a sticking switch or relay. how cold was it?
old components and cold weather dont mix well

It was in gear; and it was T-Shirt weather.

I wish I thought to take it out of gear this morning.
