Issue: Why does my front blinkers have 3 wires? What goes where?

Ok, I took off my front fairing that contained the Headlight and blinkers. I ordered some aftermarket blinkers to replace the ones that were in the fairing. The aftermarket front blinkers have 2 wires (a positive and negative), unlike the blinkers that were in the fairing that contained 3.

So I really have a two-part question; 1. What is the third wire for? 2. How should I use it with the new 2-wire blinkers that are now installed?

One wire is the neutral, one is for the flasher and the third one is for the running light, which stays on all the time. You will find that the bulb in the flasher on the front has two filaments.
