Hello friends! I have a question for everyone that knows about the XJ1100. I took it for a ride this past weekend, and noticed that my rear turn signals lost all power to them. The front ones still have power but won't blink when turned on. is there a hidden fuse for the turn signals? I have pulled off the right side cover to my fuse box, but I only see one fuse other that the red wired fuse. and they both look ok. is there more fuses somewhere on this bike? all the wires seem to be in good shape, not sure why this happened all of a sudden. but haven't found the issue yet. all other electrical seems to be working fine. Thanks for any input to my dilemma.

Sounds like a wire has lost connectivity

Check your rear bulbs. When the front will light but not flash it is a indication that the rear bulbs are burned out. Clean the socket if there is any corrosion in there. Some bulb socket grease will help keep it clean.

Thanks hogfiddles! I will check and clean the bulbs and sockets, just found my manual and where the other fuse block is located. So at least I know where all the fuses are if the bulbs are ok.

If the bulbs are good then you'll need to look at the wiring for the rear signals, not the fuses. All the signal bulbs, and the signal relay, are on the same circuit. Blow the fuse and none of it works.

On the xj650 on the backside of the air box on the on the right side of the bike the part of the wiring harness that goes to the rear has connectors tuck away. Could be a bad connection there if the 1100 is in the same place. Separate, clean, tighten and re-connect. Good luck, I hope you figure it out.
