    Does anyone know the bolt size and length for a grab bar on a 1982 xj650 maxim.

    K-moe, it's for the standard grab bar. The nuts are welded on the back of the brackets that are mounted to the frame.

    is this the bolt? large one at rear of grab bar.

    it is a flange head bolt

    10mm 1.25 pitch X 25mm long around 22 ft lbs torque

    Theres also some allen head ones just in front of the shock mount stud. The shock nut also holds the grab bar on. Not sure what fastener the OP is referring to

    front bolt is
    Allen head 8mm dia 30 mm long
