    So I picked up a 1982 Maxim 550 a few weeks ago. I paid $200 for it - no title, not running. Figured I'd clean it up and get a replacement title. The cleaning part is going very well, but the title part isn't. The two places I found for the replacement title wanted between $150 & 180.

    Tonight I was watching Cragslist - someone posted a same model / same year bike as the one I have for $250! so I bought it! I now have a title and a full parts bike! I'll build off the frame that matches the title to be safe.

    Can't wait to get it home tomorrow!
