So i got a used master cylinder, the brake fluid inside is like a gel almost , my current one was white dust , i broke a screw on the cap trying to take it off, what are my options on cleaning that gelled fluid out ?

Brake cleaner and a old toothbrush. If it is real stubborn then a brass brush does a fine job. Go ahead and remove the piston and seals before cleaning, I'm sure there are years of crud buildup in there. Clean real good and install a rebuild kit and new sightglass. Then a coat of paint and that master cylinder will last another 29 years. Chacal has rebuild kits and sight glasses.

mlew, don't forget to put a light coating of never seize on the screws for the master cylinder cover. You'll never bust another screw off while trying to remove it.

NeverSeize goes on most every bolt that I put in. It is required part af every mechanics tool box.
