I have fairly short fingers and find that I have to reach for the brake lever to get anything more than my fingertips on them. With completely rebuilt brakes and the addition of stainless brake lines there is little "play" in the lever. I would like to be able to get more of my hand on the lever. Are there any replacement levers that would work? I have a XJ700.

That, and asjust the controls so the lever is as close to parallel with your extended fingers as possible. Match the natural angle of your hand when you are in a normal riding position.

I'll look at the adjusting screw, but I thought that was just to adjust the amount of play. I will also adjust the control level a little, but I want to keep the brake m/c pretty much level.

As you know adjusting the bars stance will change how the bike handles but have you tried rolling the bars down a touch?

For years I ran with thick foam grips. When they wore out a couple years ago I replaced with OEM type. I was better able to reach the brake and clutch levers with the thinner grip. I too have small hands.
