I'm thinking of upgrading to stainless steel lines the rubber ones are old and squishy. Does anyone know the brake line lengths and what else I need I've never done motorcycle brakes only cars.

you would have to tell us what bike they are for.

    chacal sells them at www.xj4ever.com

you will need the copper crush washers too.

+1 for the lines from Chacal and for the upgrade. The steel braided lines he sells will fit perfectly, assuming your bike is stock.

+1 on the Chacal lines.. They're on my bike as well. Perfect fit! Getting the orientation of the fittings is critical since these lines don't have any twist in them.

    XJ4Ever - just do it!

Seriously as you can tell by the responses, that is the best location for all of your replacement parts, customer service is superior to ANY other on-line source.

if your bike isn't stock in a way that would affect brake line length, that's a different story. I'd talk with Chacal and present your situation.

I put them on my 82 Maxim, which is slightly different than yours, but they definitely firmed up the front brakes; I would definitely recommend them. I got mine from XJ4Ever and they were super easy to install (already cut to length and ready to bolt right on. It took me longer to bleed the brakes than to install the lines.
