I am overhauling a 1982 xj650 Seca brake master cylinder. Having difficulty removing the retaining ring which holds the piston in. I have several sets of retaining ring pliers but can't get any of them down into the cramped space that the ring sits in. What tool should I use? Thanks in advanced

Grab an old pair of Needle Nosed Pliers.
    Cup of cold water.
    Step over to the Grinder.

Take-off a good deal of material.
When you've made them "Skinny", ... Grind the Jaws down-some too.

After you finish Grinding them, ...
Hold them in a Vice and 400-Shoe-shine the surfaces down nice.
Then, finish them puppies with a lick of 800.

When you are done, ... you got a Tool that's Dedicated for the job.
