brake pad shims

    Hi have a rattle from brake pad , pad has no shim probably not replaced by a PO . I have been trying to source some shims but no luck. I have stumbled across a stick on rubber product has anyone tried this product. The bike is an xj550 seca, thanks for any input or advice.

    HCP18493LH Aftermarket front brake pad SHIM, fits in-between the pad and the piston, used on all XJ550 Maxim, 1981-83 XJ750 Seca, XJ750 Euro, XJ1100 (front) calipers, and 1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special front calipers. Fits onto the back side of the pad that contacts the caliper piston. Left front caliper only. Use 1 per caliper. Each:
